WE ARE...
a diverse and interdenominational community of Christians. Although from many countries around the world, we are united in our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are an evangelical, Bible-based fellowship, providing a warm and welcoming church family to those people seeking a Christ-centered church home. We are an independent, self-supporting church with English-language services every Sunday and opportunities for serving and growing in faith.

HOW IT ALL STARTED...
On November 7th, 1952, the constitution of the church was officially adopted and St. Andrew's Church was born. Rev. Paul Olander was the first pastor and services were held at our present location, Sina Street 66, the premises of the German Evangelical Church. The name St. Andrew's had been given by Scots who were part of the informal congregation of British forces that had been meeting since 1948 after the end of the war. In 1976, to meet the needs of the English-speaking community in the northern suburbs, a second worship service was started in Kifissia. Pastor Wes Jones began services in the Biology Lab at Tassis School but since 2004 the Kifissia congregation met in the hall of St. Catherine's British School. In 2020, with the advent of COVID and the global shutdown, the church was no longer able to meet within St. Catherine's British School. Instead, once the church was able to meet again, we welcomed people, in person, November 2021, at our Sina St. location as well as at Pefki Evangelical Church in order to meet the needs of the English-speaking community in both central Athens and in the norther suburbs, where we continue to meet today.

EXPANDING THE VISION....
It is not by accident that you are here.
Whether you are just visiting Greece for a little while or are moving here for a longer period, know that there is a reason that you are here. No matter how long you think you will be here, we would encourage you to dive deep into the community, the church, that He created. God knows you and desires for you to know Him, and in both individual study and through community in the fellowship of believers, He will make Himself known.
As a church, our greatest desire is for God to manifest Himself powerfully within your life and in turn, use you for others to come to know Him. As a church, we are called to walk with you and help you in that process of knowing God and understanding what His purpose is for your life.
We are glad that you are here and look forward to growing together with you for the glory of His name.
WHERE WE ARE HEADED....
Even though the purpose of the church has not changed, the means by which this can be accomplished has. As the demographics of Athens have changed, so too has St. Andrews.
We love investing into the lives of those that call St. Andrews International Church home. As a church though, we are called so much more. In the years ahead, we look to grow in this idea of equipping everyone for the ministry into which God has called them. We are looking to grow, not merely numerically, but spiritually, seeing many come to faith. As we continue to realize this plan that God has for us, we seek to grow everyone in their relationship with God and in the giftings that the Holy Spirit has given them for the sake of the ministry that God has given them. In so doing, St. Andrews has the incredible opportunity to take the good news of the gospel to the ends of the earth, for the glory of His name.
The fact remains, none of us can do this alone. Within Scripture, no one person makes up the church, but it is all those who profess Jesus Christ as Lord that make up the church. In order to do this, we need YOU. We need YOU - uniquely gifted, talented, and beautifully designed by God Himself - to be a part of what God has called US to do. We are excited about the days ahead and pray that you will find a place here to call home and grow in the fullness of Him who has made you and called you for this time.
WHAT WE BELIEVE...
We are a church family of diverse backgrounds, nationalities and denominational experiences. We find our unity in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and seek to keep the Gospel of His kingdom the focus.
