FAQs
Q: What can I expect?
A: As Christians we believe the full purpose of our lives is to praise God. As we do so, we begin to recognize more and more that everything comes from God and to feel even more thankful and full of praise. When you come, you will hear and sing worship songs that are Christ-centered, preaching and teaching that is straight from the Word of God, and a fellowship that gathers to fulfill the commands of scripture to love, encourage, and build up one another for the work of ministry that God has for us (John 13:34-35; 1 Thessalonians 5:11).
Q: How can I get to the service?
A: Located in the norther suburbs of Athens, just outside of the loop, access to the church can happen via taxi, bus, metro, and car. Parking can be difficult, so if you are bringing a car, please be aware of this. There is information listed above concerning the bus and metro lines for your reference. Finally, if you are planning on taking a taxi, we would recommend using the app listed above to make sure that you are more likely to have a reputable driver.
Q: How is the parking?
A: As with the rest of Athens, parking can be a challenge. There is parking on almost all of the streets surrounding and leading to the church. There is a non-paid parking lot (an open, dirt parking lot) on the left side of Leof. Venizelou about 200 meters past the church and immediately before Vironas.
Q: What is the dress for the service?
A: Come as you are!
Q: What does a typical Sunday morning look like?
A: For the morning service, the doors open at 8:30am. During the service, we believe that one of the best ways that children learn what it means to worship God is by watching their parents/guardians and others within the church as they do so. With this in mind, children start with the entire congregation to worship and then before the sermon children go to Sunday School for their lesson. Immediately after the service, we have a time of fellowship one block away at the local bakery (click here).
Q: What does a typical Sunday evening look like?
A: For the evening service, the doors open at 4:45pm. During the service, we will have a time of worship, prayer, and a time of teaching and discussion. This service is more intergenerational and interactive service as there is a time when we will discuss the teaching together. Immediately after the service, we have a time of fellowship in the foyer of the church.
Please note: We host Sundays services most Sundays, however when there is a special exception we will announce it via ours Newsletter (sign-up here) and on our News Page.
