FAQs
Q: What can I expect?
A: Sunday mornings: as Christians we believe the full purpose of our lives is to praise God. As we do so, we begin to recognize more and more that everything comes from God and to feel even more thankful and full of praise. When you come, you will hear and sing worship songs that are Christ-centered, preaching and teaching that is straight from the Word of God, and a fellowship that gathers to fulfill the commands of scripture to love, encourage, and build up one another for the work of ministry that God has for us (John 13:34-35; 1 Thessalonians 5:11).
Saturday evenings: Our heart is to create a community of believers who are centered on learning from one another growing in fellowship. We seek to create a more informal space centered on discussion of God's Word as we worship Him together. During our time, we will have time for fellowship, studying God's Word, worship, and praying for one another.
Q: What languages are used in your church services?
A: The language of our church services is English. That said, we are a multicultural congregation and occasionally integrate the languages of our church family members via songs and readings.
Q: How can I get to the service?
A: Sunday mornings: Located in the northern suburbs of Athens, just outside of the loop, access to the church can happen via taxi, bus, metro, and car. Parking can be difficult, so if you are bringing a car, please be aware of this. There is information listed above concerning the bus and metro lines for your reference. Finally, if you are planning on taking a taxi, we would recommend using the app listed above to make sure that you are more likely to have a reputable driver.
Saturday evenings: Contact Mark - mark@lead555.com or Binia - bizjaggi@gmail.com
Q: How is the parking?
A: Sunday mornings: As with the rest of Athens, parking can be a challenge. There is parking on almost all of the streets surrounding and leading to the church. There is a non-paid parking lot (an open, dirt parking lot) on the left side of Leof. Venizelou about 200 meters past the church and immediately before Vironas.
Q: What is the dress for the service?
A: For Sunday mornings and Saturday evenings: Come as you are!
Q: What does a typical Sunday morning look like?
A: Sunday mornings: The doors open at 8:30am. During the service, we believe that one of the best ways that children learn what it means to worship God is by watching their parents/guardians and others within the church as they do so. With this in mind, children start with the entire congregation to worship and then before the sermon children go to Sunday School for their lesson. Immediately after the service, we have a time of fellowship one block away at the local bakery (click here).
Saturday evenings: We start around 6pm in a home and gather informally to have a time of fellowship, worship, study of the Scriptures, and prayer.
Please note: We host Sundays services most Sundays, however when there is a special exception we will announce it via ours Newsletter (sign-up here) and on our News Page.
